District superintendent outlines facility repairs and needs after spring break work

Superintendent Nathan Libbon briefed the board on several facility repairs completed over spring break and items still pending. He said gym wall pads are up in both gyms; drywall and painting repairs in the elementary are complete though murals still need replacing in the high school; a daycare heat pump was replaced; door repairs are done; athletic plaques have been reinstalled; and vendors from Lake Country Power tested the power with no issues reported. For remaining work, Mr. Libbon said he is collecting quotes for a curtain versus glass for the main gym stage, will arrange parking-lot repainting and crack repairs, and is pursuing contractors to haul dirt and regrade the football field.
Mr. Libbon also described a drainage run in front of the shop that may require removal and reinstallation to spec but warned that, because installation tolerance is tight, contractors cannot guarantee proper drainage without changing slope or flow. He said he would continue contacting contractors for the bus garage roof and for dirt-hauling to finish the batting-cage and field prep.
