Councilmember Laurel Diehl presented a proclamation declaring Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 as Murphy Arbor Day and encouraged citizens to support tree planting and protection. The proclamation recounted Arbor Day’s origins and noted that the city has been recognized as a Tree City USA for 13 years and has planted over 7,000 trees.
