The Vincennes Community School Corp board approved awarding the Lawrence (LHS) locker-room project to the lowest bidder, Taber Owens, for $2,323,000.
Staff (S3) reported the bid opening and review with the architect: "The lowest bid came in at 2,323,000...the recommendation is going to be to award to Taber Owens in the amount of 2,323,000." Committee member (S5) moved to award the contract and committee member (S8) seconded; the board approved the award on a voice vote.
Staff said the architect reviewed alternates and subcontractors before recommending the low bidder; the appropriation and contracting steps will proceed according to district procurement rules and the architect's guidance.
