Manager gives multi-month financial snapshot and lists fall events

Hendricks said the town shifted approximately $1,000,000 into investments over the last two months and provided line-item balances: BLPD drug forfeitures $15,206; municipal court $59,005.62; utility accounts $297,652; capital improvement impact fee account $390,838; general fund $2,160,966; LGIP utility account $2,621,716; hospitality tax $1,152,660. He also listed recent lease-purchase vehicle receipts (wastewater truck, IT van, fleet work body truck) and police vehicles on order.
Hendricks reminded council of the work session on Aug. 24 to review utility impact fees, a capital improvement plan and water-plant decommissioning and said AMI infrastructure installation is slated to begin mid-September with testing in early October. He encouraged council members to contact staff for tickets to Chamber events and highlighted National Night Out planning on Sept. 10.
