At the March 10 meeting the Ely school board approved a personnel consent agenda that included new hires, accepted resignations and approved spring coaching appointments.
The minutes state the board "Hired Kayla Foy for the Cafeteria Aide position (2.75 hrs./day, 5 days/week, student contact days) effective February 28, 2025" and accepted the resignation of 3rd-grade teacher Elyssa Erickson effective at the end of the 2024–25 school year and the resignation of head hockey coach Jake Myers effective at the end of the 2024–25 season. The board also approved spring coaching positions recommended by Athletic Director Tom Coombe, listing appointments for head and assistant coaches for baseball, boys and girls track, and softball; stipends and one stipend paid by Northeast Range were noted in the minutes.
The personnel slate was moved by Director Moravitz and seconded by Director Omerza and carried 5–0. The minutes do not record discussion or public comment related to the personnel moves. The hires and coaching assignments will be implemented according to the district's master agreements and board policy.
