Mayor Russ Porter told residents that winter street parking restrictions begin Nov. 1 and run through April 1, prohibiting on-street parking between midnight and 7 a.m.
"There's no on street parking allowed from November 1 to April 1 between midnight and 7AM," Porter said, and he urged residents to check forecasts and move vehicles when plows are expected. He explained that plow crews often make an initial pass to clear main travel lanes and return later to clear toward curbs, and cautioned that cars left on the street can make plowing more dangerous.
The mayor framed the guidance as a safety and operations matter: keeping streets clear helps plow drivers do their jobs and reduces risk to motorists and pedestrians.
