The Newport Zoning Board of Review handled several consent and abbreviated items at its Sept. 22 meeting and approved them with the board’s standard conditions.
Secretary Russ Johnson presented the single summary‑calendar item, an application from Kevin Lafrenzier for 16 Mount Vernon; no objectors appeared and the board placed the petition on the consent calendar and approved it unanimously. The board also approved abbreviated petitions for 3 Bush Street (John and Lisa Daugherty) to reconfigure a rear deck in a way that reduces side‑setback intrusion and slightly decreases lot coverage, and for 12 Hunter Ave (Costello/McNamara) to change a rear deck into interior living space (minor lot‑coverage increase). Each approval included the usual condition that the project start and substantially complete within 12 months of the decision and that outstanding public‑notice invoices be paid prior to recording.
