Centerville ISD approves teacher contract, hires aide; board notes counselor resignation and approves Good Cause Exception

The Centerville ISD School Board voted to approve a contract for Lisa Noey to serve as an elementary classroom teacher for the remainder of the 2025–26 school year and accepted the hiring of Andrew Newman as an elementary classroom aide. The board also authorized the interim superintendent to hire an elementary life-skills teacher if an applicant meets requirements.
Dottie Sullivan informed the board of the resignation of Patricia Hammock, the elementary counselor. The board entered executive session under Texas Government Code §551.074 (personnel) and §551.076 (safety) and, following the session, voted 7-0 to approve a Good Cause Exception as recorded in the minutes.
