The City of Norwalk’s ADA Transition Committee was told the Hall Drive curb‑ramp project is slated to begin Aug. 17, with staff projecting an end date of Sept. 30 if work proceeds on schedule. William Nadek, the city’s ADA coordinator, said the Department of Public Works recommended a larger contingency and staff included a 20% contingency in the contract budget.
“There will be an August 17 start… and an end date by September 30,” Nadek said, adding that the project team will coordinate contractors working on adjacent streets to avoid conflicts. He said if the project remains within budget, staff may add additional sidewalk panels between Sections 6 and 7 through a change order with DPW approval.
