Heritage Pines supervisors take oath, elect 2025 officers
Summary
At its Dec. 10 meeting the Heritage Pines CDD administered the Oath of Office to three newly elected supervisors and unanimously adopted Resolution 2025-01 to elect and remove district officers, preserving several prior appointments.
Chuck Adams, the district manager and a notary, administered the Oath of Office to Arthur Rhodes (Seat 1), Stephen Putman (Seat 2) and Michael Walsh (Seat 3) after roll call at the Heritage Pines Country Club meeting room on Dec. 10, 2024.
The board then considered and adopted Resolution 2025-01 to set officer positions for 2025. Mr. Walsh nominated Kathleen Lonergan as chair and Arthur Rhodes as vice chair and the board confirmed Michael Walsh, Carol Vaughan and Stephen Putman as assistant secretaries. The resolution also removed Janice Benedetti from an assistant secretary role while leaving prior appointments—Craig Wrathell as secretary and Chuck Adams as assistant secretary—unchanged. On motion by Mr. Walsh, seconded by Ms. Vaughan, "with all in favor, Resolution 2025-01 ... was adopted."
The reorganization follows the administration of oath and a short briefing from Mr. Adams on ethics training, Form 1 filing, the Sunshine Law and Form 8B voting-conflict memoranda. Mr. Adams reminded newly seated supervisors of the requirement to complete four hours of ethics training by Dec. 31, 2024 for incumbents and noted Mr. Putman’s training obligation begins in 2025 since he did not previously serve.
The board took no separate vote to change other standing appointments noted in the resolution.
The board, staff and the public were present for the reorganization; the meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. and adjourned at 2:34 p.m.
