Colorado ISD named TASA 2025 Outstanding Board of the Year

Dr. Kevin Brown of the Texas Association of School Administrators presented Colorado ISD with the TASA 2025 Outstanding Board of the Year award on Jan. 12, 2026, praising the board's ethics, harmony and student-centered focus. Dr. Kevin Brown, executive director of the Texas Association of School Administrators, presented Colorado ISD with TASA's 2025 Outstanding Board of the Year award during a special board meeting on Jan. 12, 2026. He gave the district a plaque and individual awards and said the board demonstrated "clear strengths in ethics, harmony, and student-centered values."
The presentation took place in the C.E. "Buddy" Compton Board Room at the Frances Godwin Center in Colorado City. Board members and staff attended the recognition; the agenda lists the presentation under the celebration item and notes a fellowship meal was provided afterward. The award is described in the meeting record as the top statewide recognition for excellence by TASA.
