Principals report on assessments, events and enrollment; Anishinaabe coordinator invited students to Round Dance

Ara Anderson, Deer River High School principal, reported that semester one ends Jan. 16 and that ACT (March 11) and MCA testing (April–May) logistics will ramp up. Anderson's written report in the packet states: "End of semester 1 is January 16." The principals and program staff also highlighted winter events (Winter Fest, assemblies), PBIS activities, learning walks and staff professional development dates, and noted enrollment totals reported across buildings (packet lists a grand total of 777 in one table and an alternate grand total of 827 elsewhere in the packet; the packet includes multiple enrollment tables and notes). The Anishinaabe Education Coordinator reported being "Invited to Belcourt ND February 22nd for Round Dance. It was an honor to get this invite." Approximately 30 students are expected to attend; the trip was later approved as an out-of-state field trip.
