At the Jan. 6 organizational meeting the ISD 317 board approved a slate of routine administrative resolutions for 2025, including designation of legal counsel and delegation of routine Clerk and Treasurer duties to the Business Manager.
The packet lists the selected counsel as Pemberton Law Firm (Fergus Falls, MN) and Ratwik, Roszak & Maloney (Minneapolis, MN); the resolution authorizes the superintendent to contact and utilize those firms as needed. The board also adopted 2025 designations and authorizations (official depositories, bank signatories and official media outlets). The motion selecting legal counsel was made by George Goggleye and seconded by Pam Thompson and recorded as carried.
On authority of Minnesota Statutes 123B.14, the board adopted a resolution to combine and delegate the routine duties of Clerk and Treasurer, designating Jennifer Drotts, Business Manager, to perform routine Clerk/Treasurer duties on behalf of the district. The packet reproduces the statutory citation supporting the action and records motions and roll-call votes.
