Comprehensive-plan update: consultant chosen, community dialogue II set for Sept. 10

ZAPCO heard a progress report on the city’s comprehensive-plan update: Lionheart Places was selected as consultant, community dialogue #2 is scheduled for Sept. 10 at 5:30 p.m., and staff described a public dashboard and ~827 participants in initial outreach.
Staff and a steering-committee member reported that the city issued an RFP for a comprehensive plan, received 11 responses, interviewed four firms and selected Lionheart Places to guide the process. A steering committee with ZAPCO members, council liaisons, residents and staff was formed to advise the consultant.
The process is in the information-gathering stage; staff said about 827 people participated in the first community dialogue (in person and online). The dashboard and outreach materials will remain public as the process proceeds, and the next community dialogue is scheduled for Sept. 10 at 5:30 p.m., with livestreaming and a short comment window afterward. Staff encouraged in-person participation but said the event will be livestreamed and the dashboard will accept feedback afterward.
