Consultants and staff explained the plan's purpose as a 10–20 year visionary document to guide zoning, budgeting and capital projects. Speakers described outreach so far — an earlier in‑person meeting of about 35 people and roughly 750 online poll responses — and said the team will post materials online and present a draft future land use map and draft transportation plan at the next workshop. The city emphasized the update will include measurable benchmarks and a dashboard to track progress.
