Developer representatives told the Planning Commission they had revised the plan substantially, reducing the number of units from 48 to 42, replacing townhomes with detached patio homes, and securing a joint-use access easement with Baylor Scott and White that will allow the north-side units to access the site through the hospital parking area.
Leah Bojo of Jenner Group said the team had “it in hand signed and done” when referring to the joint-use access agreement, and described other design commitments including masonry fencing along Medical and Burrell, increased landscaping, no repeat of facades within five units, mandatory HOA management and a small resident gathering area. The developer also pointed to site constraints (floodplain, steep slope, transmission line) as rationale for a residential use instead of commercial.
