Board approves consent agenda and a series of service agreements for 2025–26

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Board of Education approved its consent agenda at a public meeting on June 25, 2025, accepting donations and routine personnel and student handbooks. The board also authorized multiple provider agreements for special education and related services for the 2025–26 school year.

Included among the accepted donations were a $200 Amazon gift card for the high school Thespian Troupe and a $2,187 cash contribution to the girls basketball program. The board approved the consent package — which combined certified and classified recommendations, school handbooks, bank reconciliations and donations — on a 3–0 recorded vote with two members absent. "RESOLVE to approve consent items 7.A thru 7.G," the minutes record as the motion introduced by Ellen Kramer and seconded by Eva O'Mara.

The board separately approved multiple service agreements recommended by the superintendent, including contracts with the Jefferson County ESC, STEPS Educational Group, the Cleveland Clinic Lerner School for Autism, United Cerebral Palsy Association, Sendero Therapies, and ABA Outreach Services for the 2025–26 period. Each motion was recorded as carried by the same 3–0 margin. The newly authorized agreements will be used to provide in-district and contracted supports for students who require specialized instruction and therapy services.

The action continues a pattern of the district purchasing partner services to fill specialized needs while the board maintained oversight through annual contract approvals. Ellen Kramer made the motions that carried these items; the minutes record the consistent vote totals and two absences for the session.
