The Colorado ISD Board of Trustees approved the CISD Resolution, Order of Election and Notice of General Election for May 2, 2026. Trustees up for election were listed as Veronica Boone (District 1), John Martinez (District 2) and Emily Strain (District 5). Candidate filing was set for Jan. 14–Feb. 13, 2026; early voting is scheduled for April 20–28, 2026.
The board also appointed Business Manager Jerri Kimball as Alternate Agent to serve as Acting Secretary, Early Voting Clerk and Custodian of Records for the May 2 election. Separately, trustees approved a lease agreement with Mitchell County for use of election equipment to conduct the CISD election.
