Council hears community survey results, youth council update and project timing for 40th Street

"This year we had over 700 and well over, we had 722 responses," staff reported. Council members and staff praised the youth city council’s second meeting, new hires in the maintenance shop and other community engagement successes.
Staff also flagged the 40th Street rebuild project (Washington to Riverdale Road) as potentially slipping to 2026 because of delays in property acquisition; staff said funding had been secured but that timing and possible cost escalation would be monitored. The council closed the meeting with reminders about upcoming events and adjourned.
