ZAPCO approves Tuscan Village Section 2 preliminary plan and final plat

Zoning and Planning Commission members voted unanimously Oct. 2 to approve both a preliminary plan and a final plat for Tuscan Village Section 2, a roughly 7.04-acre project located at 1935–1934/1935 Lomond's Crossing Road.
Staff told commissioners the proposal "meets the Tuscan Village section 2 PUD" and complies with the comprehensive plan, thoroughfare plan and other applicable policies. Bill Hayes of Legend Communities, who attended to answer questions, said the applicant was not bringing any major changes and stood ready to address technical details.
Commissioners asked for clarification about road completion and parking; the applicant and staff said the item follows prior approvals and the plans reflect previously discussed amendments. There were no public speakers during the consent portion for these items.
The commission handled the two items in sequence: it approved the preliminary plan (motion carried unanimously) and then approved the final plat for Section 2 (motion carried unanimously). The approvals will be transmitted to council as required by process.
