Julie Griffis, the HR Generalist, presented the proposed Employment of Minors Policy, which states the county will only employ individuals under 18 in positions and under conditions allowed by federal and state law and will not employ individuals under 16 except where expressly permitted. The policy also requires minors to meet legal eligibility and permit requirements.
Committee members moved to recommend approval of the policy (motion moved by Shayne Machen and seconded by Eric Gustad); the minutes record "Ayes: All; Absent: Goodman. Motion Carried." The policy will be forwarded for final approval per county procedures.
