Centerville ISD trustees approved a slate of 2026–27 employment contracts for elementary and junior-senior high teachers, counselors, paraprofessionals and a dean of students during the March 16 meeting. The motions, presented by principals Stephen Williams and Claudia Mordecai and recommended by Dottie Sullivan, passed in multiple votes; most motions recorded unanimous approval while some recorded abstentions.
For example, a motion to approve a set of elementary contracts carried with two abstentions (Charles Nash and Trampas Rodell) resulting in a 5-0-2 tally; another motion carried with three abstentions (Yea:4; Abstained:3). The minutes list individual employee names across the approved contracts, including Alicia Franks, Sarah Irish (elementary counselor), Jeremy Hammock (dean of students) and others.
