Engineer Lee Beckman provided project updates from Milano & Grunloh at the Dec. 23 council meeting. Beckman reported the ITEP project is complete except for spring seeding and an eventual IDOT walkthrough. The wastewater treatment plant has no new updates at this time.
Beckman said the contractor for the water line grant is scheduled to start after the first of the year if weather permits and that bids for the lead service line inventory have been awarded and require paperwork to be signed. On the Rebuild II/RISE grant, Beckman said there is 'nothing new to report' but that he assumes a grant announcement will be forthcoming and suggested the city might want to contact local politicians about the grant.
Council recorded these updates in the minutes; specific timelines, contract names, and award amounts are not included in the minutes and will require staff follow-up for scheduling and grant-administration details.
