A request from Mel Workman to close the alley between 5th and 6th streets and Chestnut and Walnut avenues was approved by the Neoga City Council on Oct. 15 to permit parking of a semi-truck during installation of bowling lanes. Commissioner Edwards moved to close the alley for the delivery; Commissioner Williams seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The approval was limited to the delivery period; council minutes record no broader, long-term street closure or permanent vacation of the alley. The action was entered on the consent of all present members.
