The Neoga City Council heard an informational briefing Aug. 26 about Placer.ai, an economic-development analytics tool that shows where potential customers originate and how businesses might capture them.
City Clerk Brenda Evans said she and Treasurer Diana Foor watched a demonstration and described the program as "very interesting but very scary at the same time." Evans told the council the tool "may be great to have, but she is not sure it would be worth the money at this time" and presented the demo to inform council deliberations rather than to request funds.
