Lee Rivers, Senior Vice-President for Cipher Mining, and Tim DuBois, Director of DC Operations & Maintenance, told trustees the company toured the district's new CTE building and is interested in creating training opportunities for students to support the data-center workforce. The presentation described the company’s intent to engage with the community and to be "a good neighbor" to the district and town.
The board heard the company outline workforce needs and potential educational partnerships but did not take any formal action on the presentation. The company’s representatives and district staff indicated the center currently holds a 15-year lease on the property and that further coordination with district career-technical education staff is planned.
Board members recorded the presentation as informational; no agreement or funding decision related to Cipher Mining was made during the meeting.
