Detroit Lakes Public Schools board approves levy, settlements and consent items at Dec. 16 meeting

The Board of Independent School District No. 22 (Detroit Lakes Public Schools) met on Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, at City Hall. Board Chair John Steffl called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.; the board then approved the meeting agenda by motion, which carried unanimously.
The board approved a consent agenda that included minutes, payments and payroll transfers totaling $3,718,453.94, personnel agenda items, the second reading of several policies (201–204 series and subsections), a snow removal contract for Detroit Lakes High School, and memoranda of understanding with KLN Family Brands (for Lakes Area Adult Education) and Olander Bus Company, Inc. The consent motion carried unanimously. "A motion was made by Erickson, seconded by Okeson, to approve the agenda. Motion carried unanimously."
