The superintendent provided a progress update on the Bulldog Stadium renovation, describing foundation work that has been poured for the press box and elevator shafts and outlining planned construction sequencing for concessions, restrooms and stadium entry areas.
"If you really don't understand the size and the impact that this facility will have... Keep in mind that it's going to expand, almost as high as the lights... the foundation that had been poured. They're still putting some, some foundation pieces in for that press box and for the elevator shaft," the superintendent said while describing aerial views, drainage work and the raised platform that will form the new commons area.
He told trustees underground drainage and irrigation are about a week away from completion and that the operations team had managed some unexpected issues with water-line locations. The superintendent said the project is progressing and that monthly updates will continue to keep the community informed about milestones and timelines.
