Mayor Joe Behnken announced his appointment of Nancy Ritter as Village Clerk and the board voted to approve the appointment on Sept. 16, 2024. Behnken then swore Ritter in. The appointment was made by motion and passed with all members present voting aye.
Ritter told the board the copier lease is set to expire in November and presented a proposed lease with Watts Copy Systems. Trustee Feder noted that "the old lease states that we can purchase the current copier for $1.00," and the board approved the copier lease and the $1.00 purchase option; the current copier will be moved to the police department. Ritter said she received about eight applications for the Deputy Clerk position, selected three candidates to interview, and the board asked that interviews be held at the next Committee of the Whole in 15-minute intervals beginning at 6:00 p.m.
