Eric Fritts told the City Council on Oct. 28 that three lots he purchased on Jennings Avenue were reverted to the city after he failed to meet contract requirements. "I marketed the lots for the first nine (9) months before I started on the first house," Fritts said, adding that contractor backlogs and HVAC costs about "three times higher than what I planned" contributed to the delay.
Fritts said he also accepted a full-time job that limited the time he could work on construction. He told the council his current plan is to finish the house on Lot 1 and work with a local realtor to have it sold by early December. Council members thanked him for the update; no formal action was recorded on the lots during the meeting.
