Monte Rio board adopts immediate facilities rate increases

The Monte Rio Recreation and Park District board approved a Facilities Committee recommendation to raise facility rental rates effective immediately; the Facilities & Safety Committee had reviewed a revised proposal on Jan. 9.
The Monte Rio Recreation and Park District board on Jan. 13 approved Facilities Committee recommendations to raise rental rates for district facilities effective immediately. The motion was made by Director Jean Sasso, seconded by Director Brooke Maury, and the board voted unanimously to adopt the change.
Committee materials presented at the Jan. 9 Facilities & Safety Committee meeting showed staff developing more targeted rate sheets for meetings, classes, events and weddings; the committee accepted a revised rate increase proposal and forwarded it to the full board for action. Marina McTaggart said staff will prepare updated rate schedules and publish them once implementation details are finalized.
