'Parallel Parking Only' signs installed at Creekside; reconfiguration planned when rain stops

The Safety Committee reported that it has installed 'Parallel Parking Only' signs at Creekside Skatepark. The committee said the street parking area will be reconfigured once the rain stops; the planned reconfiguration is intended to eliminate the need for cars to back out of spaces onto Main Street, a traffic-safety concern.
Committee members also briefly discussed installing a railing at Creekside; staff said the issue will be revisited after logs are moved in front of Lightwave Café so the parking area can be changed to parallel parking only. Separately, a member of the Valley of the Moon Park Riders Union indicated interest in presenting to the board on Creekside Skate Park; Marina McTaggart will contact the person.
