Monte Rio board appoints Brooke Maury, reorganizes standing committees

The Monte Rio Recreation and Park District board on Oct. 28, 2024 unanimously appointed Brooke Maury to its board and immediately seated her after an oath of office administered by Board Chair Steve Baxman.
Director David Gatlin moved to approve the appointment and Director Allison Baumhefner seconded; roll call votes were recorded as aye from Steve Baxman, Jean Sasso, Allison Baumhefner and David Gatlin. The board also approved the meeting agenda and minutes from Oct. 14 earlier in the session.
The board reorganized its standing committees during the same agenda item. The new committee rosters are: Facilities and Safety Committee — Steve Baxman and Jean Sasso; Personnel Committee — Steve Baxman and Jean Sasso; Budget Committee — Allison Baumhefner and David Gatlin; Marketing Committee — Allison Baumhefner and Brooke Maury.
Board Chair Steve Baxman administered the oath and Director Brooke Maury took her seat immediately; the board did not record dissent on the motion. The board adjourned at 5:16 p.m. and set a tentative next meeting for Dec. 16, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
