Police resignation, Party in the Park and trail grant updates highlighted at Huxley council

Park and Recreation Director Heather Denger reminded the council that Party in the Park is scheduled for July 23 with a "Christmas in July" theme. The event announcement was part of the department reports portion of the meeting.
Police Chief Nate Albaugh informed the council that Officer Roudebush had submitted his resignation effective July 22 and that the department will solicit bids for a new police vehicle at the July 28 meeting. City Administrator David Haugland also said two trail grant applications had been submitted to CIRPA, thanked Public Works Director Jeff Peterson for help preparing the applications, said the Historical Society is exploring additional signage for Huxley, and announced planned removal of bushes and new landscaping around the city building.
