Charlie Krebs reviewed Tier 1 and Tier 2 traffic-calming strategies in the draft Traffic Calming Assessment 2025 and said initial education-based road, bike and golf-cart safety measures were already underway. Three permanent and one mobile speed radar signs will be delivered across the property in the first week of February; staff reported speeding violations have decreased.
Eric Long asked Krebs to update Page 9 of the report to include the traffic study conclusion and asked Board members to identify other areas of concern. The Board discussed installing "Do not pass golf cart" signs at the front entrance and crosswalks and noted Pelican Sound may modify its bylaws related to traffic violations. No formal policy change or vote occurred at the meeting.
