River Ridge approves $105,000 AV‑Tech speed‑radar sign installation

Operations manager Shane Willis presented AV‑Tech proposals to complete the long-term traffic-calming plan: three permanent 15" solar-powered radar signs and one mobile unit, plus annual cloud-device fees at $1,500 per device. Eric Long suggested purchasing a mobile unit and moving an existing device 20–30 yards to better capture speeding violations.
On motion by Bob Schultz and seconded by Kurt Blumenthal, the board approved My AV‑Tech LLC Estimates 24150 and 24151 to wire and install the signs and mobile unit and subscribe to cloud devices for a combined total of $105,000. Staff noted poles will be purchased from Paramount Asphalt at about $1,200 each and suggested the homeowners association consider covering cloud-device fees going forward.
