Bennet adopts SS4A Safety Action Plan; council to seek grant funding

Kyle McLaughlin presented the Bennet Safety Action Plan final report to the council and discussed options to pursue grant funding to implement recommended safety projects. The council introduced and adopted Resolution 2026‑1.1 to formally adopt the SS4A Safety Action Plan.
The motion to approve Resolution 2026‑1.1 was moved by Pete Simmons and seconded by Dan Zieg; the roll call vote recorded Schmidt, Simmons, Zieg and Buck as voting YES and the resolution carried. Staff indicated grant opportunities would be explored to fund components of the plan.
