The Village of New Berlin Special Board on Oct. 22, 2024, approved hiring Kerrie Davis as Water Superintendent, with a starting wage of $30 per hour and a scheduled increase to $35 per hour after Davis completes a Waste Water Operator Certificate. The motion carried on a roll-call vote of the trustees.
The special meeting, called for the purpose of hiring a village employee, opened at 7 p.m. Attendance was recorded as Trustees Chris Neuman, Greg Lokaitis, Stephen Knox, Stephanie Synder, Cindy Morris and Sue Spalding; Mayor Krall; Clerk Debbie Lakamp; and Treasurer Libben. The motion read: "To hire Kerrie Davis as Water Superintendent at $30/hour and upon his completion of the Waste Water Operator Certificate salary will increase to $35/hour." The board recorded "Yes" votes from Trustees Chris Neuman, Stephanie Synder, Greg Lokaitis, Cindy Morris, Stephen Knox and Sue Spalding; the motion carries on roll-call vote. The board then moved to adjourn; Trustee Stephen Knox moved the adjournment and Trustee Cindy Morris seconded. Clerk Debbie Lakamp signed the minutes.
