Board ratifies AB 1200 disclosure, approves 2.3% retroactive salary increase

Chief Financial Officer Donald G. Ellingson provided the overview and the minutes record that "The terms of the agreement shall provide an ongoing 2.3% increase to the salary schedule for fiscal year 2025-2026, retroactive to July 1, 2025, and a reduction in MTA's instructional days and professional development days by one day each." Clerk Elizabeth Cabrera moved to ratify the AB 1200 disclosure; the motion was seconded and carried on a roll-call vote of 4–0 (Member Marisol Madrigal Uribe absent).
The ratification is a procedural step required under Assembly Bill 1200 (AB 1200) in which districts disclose the fiscal impact of collective bargaining agreements to the county office of education. The minutes note a copy of the AB 1200 disclosure is attached to the official minutes (pages 3a(1) through 3a(68)).
Board members did not record further debate in the minutes. The vote formalizes the district's compliance with AB 1200 and the budgetary recognition of the 2.3% salary-schedule increase for the specified fiscal year.
