Board approves 2025-26 budget adjustments for period through Jan. 31, 2026
Summary
On March 4 the board approved budget adjustments for fiscal year 2025–26 covering July 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026, and directed staff to submit required forms to LACOE in the required timeframe.
The Montebello Unified School District Board approved the attached summaries of budget adjustments for the period July 1, 2025, through January 31, 2026, on a unanimous roll call vote. The motion was made by Carlos Cerdan and seconded by Elizabeth Cabrera.
CFO Donald G. Ellingson summarized the legal requirement that budget adjustments made after certifying the Second Interim Report must be submitted to the Los Angeles County Office of Education, noting districts must "submit this board-approved form within a reasonable timeframe—either within 30 days, by the next board meeting, or whichever comes first." Board members received the summary documents attached to the minutes.
The board recorded all "Aye" votes and declared the motion carried; the Budget Adjustment Summary was filed as part of the official meeting materials.
