The committee also approved federal highway allotments: $4,349,410 from the Region 1 STBG program for Harrison Avenue reconstruction with a $4,000,000 city match (further federal grants will be pursued to close gaps), and $1,271,066 in TAP funds for the Highcrest multiuse path (the TAP award complements a prior $3,000,000 ITIP grant for the same project). The council indicated both grant acceptances will accelerate the projects toward FY2028 construction timelines.
