County Elections Director Mike Sullivan reported the board certified ballot containers during the May 7 canvass: five containers for Solon Township, four for Byron Township, three for the City of Walker and one for Caledonia Township. The certifications were entered into the canvass record as part of the formal review of container counts and custody documentation.
During review of the April 2026 minutes, Judy Jones offered an amendment to note that two containers were not certified for Algoma Township; the amendment was accepted, and the board then voted to approve the April minutes. The minutes amendment was recorded in the meeting notes and will be reflected in the official minutes for April 2026.
