The borough approved Consent Agenda item CA-1 authorizing payment-of-claims totaling $24,235,194.19 across current, wires and capital accounts. The consent agenda carried on a unanimous roll call of present members.
Council also authorized a two-year contract to TaxServ Capital Services NJ, LLC for municipal court debt collection services (CA-10). Council materials note the borough may assess an administrative fee of up to 22% of the amount outstanding under state law; the RFP process and evaluation team findings are recorded in the resolution materials.
Additionally, the borough authorized submission of a New Jersey Department of Community Affairs grant application for approximately $450,000 to renovate roughly 8,000 square feet of the Fort Lee Public Library at 320 Main Street (CA-11). The resolution authorizes borough officials to execute the application and any subsequent grant agreement, acknowledging the department may award a different amount than requested.
The consent agenda also included routine license renewals and several personnel and operational items; certified funds and supporting documents were noted in each resolution.
