Burleson ISD updates intruder detection, door numbering and radio alignment ahead of school year

"maintenance has installed door numbers in all interior rooms over the summer, the Student Safety Officers radios have been tuned up so they can continue to be on the same frequency as the Burleson Police Department, and that there is a cell phone tower being installed near the Centennial football field on the visitor side which will help with better coverage for phone calls in that area," Chief Safety, Security, and Student Services Officer Scott Shaha told the board. The updates were described as part of an intruder detection and broader safety audit.
