Magisterial District Judge Thomas P. Murt administered the Oaths of Office for two new Upper Moreland Township police officers — Jaymie R. Bonino and Joseph W. McGowan — after Police Chief Scott Bendig introduced them to the Board of Commissioners on July 6, 2026. The ceremony was recorded in the meeting minutes and took place before the board conducted its regular business.
The board also noted Resolution R-2026-14, which would grant an honorable discharge to Police Officer Brian Rems, but moved consideration of that resolution to the township's next regular meeting on August 3, 2026. No vote on R-2026-14 occurred at the July 6 meeting.
