Organizers of the Clovis Music Festival told the board they are seeking $40,000 to fund the 2025 event and said they expect it to run two nights. "We're coming to you again asking you for, we're requesting $40,000 for the 2025 Clovis Music Festival," the presenter (S2) said.
The presenter reviewed 2024 performance figures: roughly 30 hotel room nights documented by organizers, roughly 3,000,000 Facebook impressions from paid ads, and an estimated reach into 18,000 households via streaming and other promotions. Organizers said about 15% of attendees were from out of town and described advertising and billboard campaigns that pulled visitors from Odessa, Midland, Amarillo, Lubbock and Albuquerque. Board members asked for clarification on guest counts, start and end times (organizers said shows began around 7:30 p.m. and some acts ran until about 11:30 p.m.).
The request was considered along with other applications; the board approved the overall recommendations later in the meeting.
