The committee’s finance update centered on a larger-than-expected July electric bill and ongoing monitoring-system costs. Jim Rogler reported, “Looking at FY 2026 financials, $1600/ electric bill for this July represents a number of months when we have not been paying it due to the shift of solar credits from MRPS to Town.”
Committee members noted about $700 was paid recently to restore fire monitoring and that the building’s fire-monitoring equipment is nearing the end of its useful life; an eventual replacement was estimated at $5,000–$15,000. Jim and Heidi will continue to track expenses as the Finance Team: they will develop an annual budget, present projected revenue by December, provide monthly financial updates, and suggest a process for proposing and approving expenditures.
