The Village of New Berlin convened a special board meeting on Feb. 4, 2025, called specifically to address real property and litigation matters under 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(5) and 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11). The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m.; attendance was recorded (Trustees Chris Neuman, Greg Lokaitis, Stephen Knox, Stephanie Synder, Cindy Morris and Sue Spalding; Mayor Krall; Clerk Debbie Lakamp). Trustee Stephanie Synder moved and Trustee Chris Neuman seconded a motion to go into executive session at 7:15 p.m. The minutes record the motion and a unanimous roll-call vote among trustees present (Neuman—Yes; Synder—Yes; Lokaitis—Yes; Morris—Yes; Knox—Yes; Spalding—Yes). During the same meeting the board approved Resolution 01-2025 (authorizing a Letter of Intent with MCC Network Services dba Metro Comm, Conxxus and GHB Enterprises, Inc.), Resolution 02-2025 (authorizing a nondisclosure agreement) and Ordinance 2025-03 (amending Section 1-2-85(F) of the Village Code on deposit of funds).
