Grant update: floating beach wheelchair nearing funding; Starrett Hill acquisition not funded

Marina McTaggart reported that a grant from Orange County Coastkeeper for purchase of a floating beach wheelchair is nearing the final stages and that the district expects funds to arrive in the coming week, after which staff will place the order.
PRAXIS consultant Brian Grant informed the committee that Sonoma Land Trust's grant application for the Starrett Hill acquisition was not funded. Sonoma Land Trust representatives John and Shanti have asked to present alternative funding options and will be placed on the February Board meeting agenda.
