Facilities committee accepts revised rate proposal to send to Board

The Facilities and Safety Committee voted to accept a revised Facilities Rate increase proposal and will forward the proposal to the Board at its Jan. 13, 2025 meeting, Administrator Marina McTaggart said.
McTaggart told the committee that CAPRI (California Association for Park and Recreation Indemnity) will conduct a site visit on Feb. 6. The committee recommended the rates be adjusted as proposed; the acceptance was recorded for referral to the Board rather than a final district-wide adoption.
Committee action was procedural: Jean Sasso moved to accept the committee proposal and Park Supervisor Leslie Hofelich seconded. The committee discussion focused on aligning rates to recent facility improvements and ensuring fee language is clear for the commercial-kitchen use that earned a PASS placard after a Jan. 6 health inspection.
